ABOUT THE VAUGHAN FAMILY RANCH
OK. Grandpa Jerry’s son, Jerry followed in his dad’s footsteps by attending Oklahoma State University earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Jerry married his high school sweetheart Sarah. After graduation, they moved to Kansas and expanded the herd in the Wichita area. They have been blessed with 5 children – Andrew, Corey, Jared, Aaron and Briana. Andrew has passed from this life, but leads us forward.
Our mission is to be a premier producer of Industry Leading seedstock for the Charolais and Angus Breeds.
The Vaughan Family Ranch has been producing Purebred cattle since 1976. We are a fourth generation family farming and ranching operation. Our roots began alongside the banks of Scipio Creek and the tall prairie grasses near Ulan, Oklahoma. This is where Nellie raised her three children after the untimely death of her husband Johnny from pneumonia. These were challenging times, and as true pioneers, they lived off of the land. The banks of Scipio Creek have spawned many dreams over the years and remain in our family as a legacy from Grandpa Jerome (Jerry) to the children, grandchildren and the generations that follow.
The Charolais herd grew over the years and strict culling practices were applied. We started performance testing our bulls and participated in bull tests at OBI in Stillwater,
